Packaging Matters

Research has found that certain chemicals found in plastics are carcinogenic (AKA substances that have cancer-causing potential) and can disrupt our hormones. Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical commonly found in plastics that has been associated with cancer and overweight/obesity. Other types of chemicals in plastics such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) – a source of phthalates – have also been linked to cancer and other negative health effects.

Acidic foods – like apple cider vinegar – can actually cause these chemicals to leach out of the plastic and into the food/beverage product. As a result, when you buy a health-promoting food like ACV in plastic packaging you may actually be doing more harm than good...

At Ethan’s we've got you covered. We use glass bottles to avoid such toxic chemical exposure. Not only is glass better for your health, but its better for the environment as well. It’s a win win!
